Step inside the Toolbox

No sign-up, no call to schedule. One click opens the real product with a sample client already loaded, so you can see exactly what your team would see.

  • The real screens. This is the live Toolbox, not a video or a slide deck.
  • A sample group loaded in. Northwind Manufacturing, a fictional 300-employee manufacturer, with a saved run in every tool.
  • Look, don't type. Inputs are locked, so you can see what each tool asks for and what it produces, without setting anything up.
  • Leave whenever you like. Nothing to install, nothing saved about you.

Choose the tools that fit your team

Each tool is licensed on its own, so you only pay for what you'll use.

AV Calculator

Calculate the actuarial value of any medical plan design in minutes.

Enter deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket limits, or load them straight from a plan's SBC. Save designs by client and compare them side by side.

Useful when

  • Modeling benefit changes at renewal
  • Checking where a design lands before you present it
  • Comparing a client's current plan to alternatives

Plan Selection Tool

Help employees choose the plan that fits them.

Upload up to eight plans from their SBCs and publish a branded, password-protected site for each client. Employees answer a few questions about how much care they expect to use and see their estimated out-of-pocket and total cost under every plan, with a link to each plan's SBC.

Useful when

  • Open enrollment
  • Adding a new option, such as an HSA-qualified plan
  • Reducing enrollment questions to HR and the broker team

Demographic Modeler

Measure a group's demographic risk from a census.

Upload a census with age, gender, 3-digit ZIP, plan, and tier. The Modeler scores the group against benchmarks for age and gender, industry, and geography, and saves each run with a PDF you can share.

Useful when

  • Quoting or prospecting a group without claims data
  • Explaining a renewal driven by a changing workforce
  • Supporting a self-funding feasibility conversation

Monte Carlo

Compare stop-loss levels against what they're expected to return.

Enter a group's size, its claims cost per member, and its current stop-loss level. The tool simulates 10,000 claim years and compares up to eight specific stop-loss levels side by side, showing the range of outcomes at each and what each level's quoted premium buys. Runs save by client and export to CSV or PDF.

Useful when

  • Choosing a specific deductible at stop-loss renewal
  • Weighing a higher deductible's premium savings against the added risk
  • Showing a client a realistic bad year, not just the expected one

IBNR Estimator

Estimate a plan's claims reserve from its lag data.

Fill in the lag template with paid and incurred claims and enrollment for up to four lines of business: medical, prescription drug, dental and vision. The tool develops the reserve six ways, shows the average and the range, and trends it to your valuation date. When the client needs a signed reserve, send the estimate to Peak's actuaries in one click, with the model and a draft letter already prepared.

Useful when

  • Closing the books at quarter-end or year-end
  • Checking a TPA's or carrier's reserve figure
  • Moving a group from self-funded to fully insured and sizing the run-out

Premium Equivalent Calculator

Turn a renewal total into rates by plan and tier.

Download the one-page template, fill in the plans across and the renewal enrollment by tier (current rates too, if you have them), and upload it. Add the group's total renewal premium (expected claims trended to the plan year plus every fixed cost: stop loss, administration, commissions and fees) and each plan's actuarial value from the AV Calculator. Plan relativities come from the actuarial values, or the carrier's own; tier factors are the usual ratios, the group's current ones, or yours. The tool spreads the premium so the rates add back to the total and shows the change from current rates cell by cell.

Useful when

  • Setting premium equivalents for a self-funded renewal
  • Adding, dropping or collapsing plans or tiers and re-rating the rest
  • Checking whether a carrier's tier and plan relativities hold together

How it works

From demo to access in three steps.

1. See it in action

Open the demo and look around on your own, then we walk your team through the tools you're interested in, using your own examples.

2. Pick your tools

Choose any combination of the five. Access is set up for your firm, so your team sees only the tools you've licensed.

3. Log in and get to work

Your team works in the browser, with plan designs, censuses, and results saved by client.
